Service Opportunities

TEL desires to recruit a new generation of missionaries to work in gospel teams along side of national evangelists in the great harvest fields of Asia. Jesus’ declaration recorded in Matthew 9:37-38 that “the harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few” is equally true today. There is a bountiful harvest of souls in many of Asia’s fields. Yet, for this bountiful harvest to be reaped there must be an adequate number of workers laboring in the fields. As in Jesus’ day, in some of the world’s harvest fields where many have not heard the gospel once, the laborers are always few. In other fields where many have heard the gospel multiple times, the laborers are plentiful. Should not every one be given equal opportunity to hear the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ? For this opportunity to be given to all, some must go to the more distant fields. Along with Jesus, we pray “that the Lord of the harvest would send out laborers into His harvest.”

TEL is actively seeking to place missionaries whom the Lord of the Harvest has called in all of its fields. We primarily seek career missionaries who will commit to a lifetime of service in Asia so as to adequately blend with the culture in order to maximize their contribution to the harvest. TEL missionaries start their career at different stages of life. Some start early, while others enter the mission field as a second career or upon retirement. Often, the Lord confirms His will for the long-term through individuals and couples laboring along side seasoned missionaries during short-term experiences from a few months to two years in duration. Short-term experiences can be customized to meet your interest.

TEL needs missionaries both with ministry and administrative skills who will be trained on the field to work in gospel team ministry.
